Monthly Training for Nannies & Housekeepers

Once a month, we hold a training session in our office in Champel, Geneva, to go over the basics of nannying and housekeeping. This four-hour session is designed to help newly placed candidates start their jobs feeling confident and prepared. It’s a great opportunity to get practical tips, understand the expectations of private families in Switzerland, and make sure everyone is ready to meet the demands of the role.

THE PROCESS

Our average time to hire is 6 weeks. However, we have found families their ideal hire within as little as 5 days. Here is our process:

Our High Standards

We only invite the most qualified candidates with extensive experience to the interview process. Every candidate must meet our rigorous selection criteria, including:


    A completed, detailed application form
    2 to 5 verified references in the relevant field
    A valid EU Passport or Swiss Work Permit
    A clear criminal record check
    A valid driver’s license (if applicable)

Each candidate is personally interviewed so we can thoroughly assess their values, personality, strengths, and areas for improvement. We also conduct in-depth reference checks, speaking with at least two previous employers to ensure they meet our high standards—without exception.

Once we receive your staffing requirements, we carefully review your needs and provide a selection of top-profile candidates for your consideration.

SpeedSession & Interviews

​

Your time is valuable. That’s why we offer our unique SpeedSession, a streamlined 2.5-hour interview session held at our offices in Geneva. You’ll meet 3-5 of the best pre-screened candidates for your position in one efficient session. If you’re located in another canton or prefer a more private setting, we can arrange interviews at your home.

Throughout the SpeedSession, we provide guidance, support, and expert advice to help you select the ideal candidate.

 

Trial Period Before the Contract

 

To ensure the best fit, you can arrange a short trial with one or more of the candidates you selected during the SpeedSession. This trial period, lasting from one day to one week, allows you to assess the candidate in a real work setting. The trial is optional, as all employment contracts include a three-month probation period. Candidates are compensated directly at the end of the trial.

 

Finalizing the Hire

 

Once you have chosen your ideal candidate, we assist with contract drafting and final negotiations to ensure all details align with your expectations. We also provide guidance on essential aspects of the working relationship, helping to clarify topics such as:

  • Work schedule and off-duty arrangements

  • Mealtime preferences and household rules

  • Overtime and holiday management

  • Travel expectations

  • Guest policies and privacy considerations

 

We work with you to ensure that all questions are addressed before the employment arrangement begins.

Our Guarantee

​

Our aim is to successfully recruit the right match for your home. However, recruitment is a dynamic process, and even with the best care taken, personal or family situations may change.

  • 6-month replacement guarantee for long-term positions to ensure your family is never understaffed

  • For short-term contracts, the guarantee matches the contract length (e.g., a 2-month contract gets a 2-month guarantee)

  • At least 5 pre-screened suitable candidates provided within 14 days of an advertised vacancy
